Orbing and zorbing centres in Sussex
What are zorbing, sphereing and orbing?
At the moment there are only two places in Sussex where you can enjoy the thrill of zorbing - rolling downhill inside a large transparent plastic ball.If you're not familiar with the different types of orbing, here are a few pointers.
Harness orbing involves being strapped to the inside of a large orb. This results in you being flung head over heels all the way to the bottom of the slope. You can do this with a friend if you like.
Aqua orbing involves sharing the inside of your orb with a load of soapy water - making it as close as you can get to being on the inside of a washing machine.
Other variants include the use of dark plastic orbs - a totally disorienting experience, being flipped over and over without any idea which way up you are facing.
It is possible to buy your own orb, but they are fairly pricey. You can get an introduction to zorbing by buying an zorbing experience day.
Spheremania
Speheremania has an orbing terrain at Brambletye Park near Forest Row.Spehereing is apparently a registered trademark of the company, but it's essentially another variant of orbing.
Here you can enjoy harness orbing - which they call harness sphereing. The company offers zorbing gift vouchers for the thrill seekers in your life.
