The Broadwood Morris men claim to be "Horsham's favourite Morris side since 1972" - which means they must have become instantly popular, as they were founded in 1972.The Broadwood name is a tribute to Lucy Broadwood, who was a founder member of the Folk Song Society and who, despite dying long ago (in 1929) managed to ensure that a rich part of our culture was able to live on for many future generations to enjoy.
Each May Day the Broadwood Morris Men remember Lucy Broadwood and give thanks for her legacy.
