Henfield

Like its near neighbours Cowfold, Cuckfield and Steyning Henfield is as lovely a small town as you could ever wish to live in or visit.

There are fine houses, easy parking, decent restaurants and a comfortable pace of life that reminds you just how hectic most places are these days.

Yes - Henfield is definitely good for the soul.

The shopping is good too, with some unusual shops in London Road. Although there's a fair amount of traffic passing through, it's not so invasive as in some other small West Sussex towns.

A real treasure.

Fine summer festival with a garden trail around Henfield, an art trail, and more besides.

Henfield Theatre Company

Henfield's amateur dramatics group, staging musicals and other theatre for adults and youngsters alike.

Henfield Chamber of Trade & Commerce

The Chamber of Commerce is now rebranded Henfield Enterprise.

Henfield Duplicate Bridge Society

Visitors are welcome for a competitive, friendly game of bridge on Mondays or Thursdays.

Henfield Parish Council website has details of Henfield planning matters, some photographs of the village, all the usual official stuff about council meetings, including committee meetings and minutes, plus the Henfield Council Annual Report, the Henfield Action Plan and relevant links to West Sussex County Council.

Henfield Medical Centre

The main doctor's surgery is at Henfield Medical Centre, Deer Park, Henfield, West Sussex BN5 9JQ and the practice also run a surgery at Partridge Green

Henfield Community Partnership

The Henfield Community Partnership does many good things - but perhaps the most visible is the Henfield Community Minibus scheme. Other ongoing work includes the Business and Economic Working Party, designing village walk leaflets and a whole lot of other projects aimed at maintaining Henfield as a thriving community.

Henfield Museum

A simple site but, like Henfield Museum itself (where entrance is free), a good way to spend a little time. Very interesting.

Henfield Sport

Henfield Cricket Club

Sussex is almost certainly the home of cricket and Henfield is one of the oldest organised clubs in Sussex, proudly tracing its ancestry back to 1771 - the year in which Captain Cook was undertaking his first major voyage. So it's probably fair to say that, for a while at least, Henfield Cricket Club was better at cricket than the Australians.

Preston Nomads Cricket Club

Playing at the Spen Cama Memorial Ground, Clappers Lane, Fulking, nr Henfield.

Henfield & District Angling Association

The club has 14 miles of good quality river and stream fishing on the River Adur and its tributaries, with plenty of large pike and carp to be had.

Henfield Hash House Harriers

Running around the Henfield area once a month and plenty of drinking afterwards.

Henfield Joggers

Henfield Joggers have club nights, meeting at Henfield Leisure Centre, and also have track nights at Withdean Stadium in Brighton.

Henfield Area Response Team

HART augment the work of the Sussex Ambulance Service by providing a quick response to medical emergencies. All the responders are volunteers and new members of the team are being sought to help them provide a their very valuable service more extensively.

Henfield Football Club

Henfield F.C. play in the Worthing and Horsham District League.
