Chequer Mead Theatre in EG also operates a Fancy Dress and Stage Costume Store which is run solely by volunteers. Apart from minimal running costs all monies raised from costume hire go to the theatre, which is a registered charity.

There are two aspects to the hire facility, Fancy Dress for themed parties and Stage Costumes for plays, musical, community events, school performances and so on.
