Pump Bottom Farm

Cider maker south of Chichester, West Sussex

Pump Bottom Farm is also famous as the home of the annual Blues on the Farm music festival where its ciders are served to thirsty music lovers.

There are 17 acres of apple orchards at Pump Bottom Farm and they make a mean Farmhouse Cider which you can buy online from their website (in bottles boxes and flagons).

Gospel Green Cider

They don't have a website and you have to book an appointment to see them, but if you want to support local cider growers here in West Sussex you could also look out for Gospel Green Cider, a "Champagne method cyder" made from apples grown here in West Sussex.

Fancy a glass of cider or three?

According to the Real Cider website some of the best cider to be drunk in West Sussex can be found in Shoreham-by-Sea. Their Sussex Cider Rider Tour is mostly confined to East Sussex (which is more traditional cider country than West Sussex).

But they particularly liked the cider on offer at three pubs in Shoreham, namely the Buckingham Arms in Brunswick Road, the Duke of Wellington in Brighton Road and the Red Lion in Old Shoreham Road.
