Brighton Royal Pavilion
The Royal Pavilion
Along with the pier, this is the iconic building that features on practically every Brighton postcard.Famously built for George IV when he was prince regent, it is one of the most lavish buildings in the UK.
The excessive curves and domes of the exterior are more than matched by the lavish decor inside the Pavilion.
As befits such a top Sussex attraction, the Royal Pavilion is open throughout the year. Admission is half price for Brighton residents.
